“Trev’ 2” proves to be a hit with the public…

Our 40,000 sq foot West Yorkshire factory is currently experiencing one of its busiest periods of the year, with our skilled and highly dedicated manufacturing divisions working tirelessly and across multiple shifts to cater for the demand in the bespoke fabricated items we produce. These range from the wall benches and tabling found in any commercial catering kitchen through to canopies and complex ventilation systems and cold stores, all of which form an essential part of the commercial catering projects our principle projects divisions Airedale Catering Equipment and The Design House design and install.
In the past 12 months in particular we have been promoting our internal manufacturing divisions’ capabilities across our social media and other marketing channels, whilst supporting the wider UK Manufacturing sector. Contrary to the majority of reports found on mainstream media, the UK is still the 8th largest manufacturing country in the world and second only behind Germany in Europe.
Investment into our factory has been considerable, both in an increase in the number of apprentices we employ, overall headcount and in particular in quite literally cutting edge machinery. “Trev 2” (“Trev 1” still exists but is heading for a well-earned retirement) is one of these machines we have installed and we recently took a short video to show it in action, with over 1,750 views across our Twitter and LinkedIn pages at the time of publishing this blog. You can see this for yourselves in this video, noting that “he” receives instructions from the design software we have also invested in, checked by a very human operator. This mitigates the risk of unintended errors and significantly increases the productivity and efficiency of our factory. We hope that you enjoy seeing Trev 2 in action, whilst we will be uploading more content and future blogs about Airedale Manufacturing in the coming months. In the meantime please anyone on Twitter please follow the hashtags #UKmfg and #GBmfg.
