Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of IoT to play a pivotal role in driving our IoT initiatives forward. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing customer projects, managing client relationships, OEM integration, supplier management, and leading both internal and external technical teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our Smart Kitchen IoT solutions and contribute to the growth and success of The Airedale Group.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will have responsibility of managing end to end IoT projects, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Collaborating with OEM’s to seamlessly integrate IoT solutions into commercial kitchen equipment. Ensuring compatibility and optimal performance of IoT systems with various kitchen appliances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring a steady and reliable supply chain for IoT components.
- Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and drive continuous improvement in supplier relationships.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to external software development teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and innovative IoT software solutions.
- Foster collaboration and effective communication between internal and external development teams.
- Monitor and optimise the performance of IoT systems across customer sites, addressing any issues promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the Group CTO to ensure that IoT strategies align with the overall technology vision of the organisation.
- Work closely with other technology departments to integrate IoT solutions seamlessly with existing systems and technologies.
- Utilise data analytics tools to derive meaningful insights from IoT data, enabling informed decision-making and process improvements.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance the efficiency and performance of commercial kitchen operations.
- Implement and oversee robust cybersecurity measures to protect IoT systems and sensitive customer data.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards, taking proactive steps to safeguard customer information.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovations that can enhance our IoT solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide regular financial reports and forecasts related to IoT initiatives.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards pertaining to IoT and ensure compliance.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements and certifications.
- Develop training programs for internal teams and clients to enhance their understanding of IoT systems and functionalities.
- Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen issues and ensure business continuity.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes for IoT solutions, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high-quality standards.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in IoT project management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of IoT technologies and trends.
