Commercial Manager

 

The Role

We are the market leading design, installation, and maintenance provider for commercial kitchens in the UK hospitality and food service industry. We work alongside clients from the initial designs through to bespoke fabrication and installation. Coupled with the largest body of professional maintenance engineers in the country, we offer the complete end to end solution to our extensive client base. We have long-standing relationships with many of the biggest multi-site brands in the UK.

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Commercial Manager to manage our current estimating department and provide Commercial analysis on tender enquiries both prior to quoting and post quote, and on orders. The role would be based at our head office in Bradford. Working as a key member of our commercial team and reporting directly to the Group Supply Chain Manager, the candidate will play an integral part in maximising commercial opportunities. The role will involve working with multiple internal & external stakeholders and excellent interpersonal skills are a must.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluate quote/tenders both pre and post quoting to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Manage the estimating department and allocate workload accordingly.
  • Work effectively with the Group Supply Chain Manager, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and gain an excellent understanding of the business needs.
  • Negotiate with new and existing suppliers.
  • Ensure quotes are checked and the commercial make up of quotes are reported back to the sales teams.
  • Provide reports on quotes, margins, strike rate, compliance with commercial framework to the Group Supply Chain Manager and Group Projects Director.
  • Provide training and development plans for the estimating team.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ commercial management experience preferably with experience in the commercial catering sector.
  • Self-motivated, personable and happy to speak with suppliers and colleagues via written and verbal communication.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to calculate and present savings opportunities.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • A willingness to travel to Group company and supplier premises occasionally as required
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, manage time and operate under pressure when required with a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexible, reliable and can demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literate.

 

Location: Bradford

Term: Full time, permanent role
