“We liked the fact that Airedale had an in house building services manager, and were therefore in control of the building process from the start. In contrast, some companies seemed to issue a drawing to see if we liked it before contacting their building contractor to see if they were interested in quoting. Airedale were true to their word and met their project timescales, allowing us to be fully operational for Mother’s Day. What strikes me looking back is how quickly we settled into the new working space, and how calm the kitchen feels in comparison to how it used to be. The workflow is much better which has reduced stress levels in the kitchen, and the ventilation has made the sandwich prep area a much more pleasant space to work in.”

We pride ourselves at The Airedale Group in our ability to design, manufacture and install any commercial catering environment within our one Group, a true definition of the oft-used word “turnkey.” At Perrywood, over half of the project involved an extensive remodelling of the Centre’s large production kitchen, dramatically improving the flow, efficiency and working environment for their catering team. Everything including the bread is produced at the Centre, which can serve over 1800 covers a day. All of this remodelling was delivered by our Airedale Building Services division.
Particular highlights include changing the previous staff room into a dedicated warewash area, working in close collaboration with our supply partner Meiko UK who also supplied a Utensil Washer. Any new fabrication including the bespoke canopies was manufactured by our own Caterform and Airedale Ventilation Services divisions respectively.
