We continue to make great strides in delivering commercial catering projects across Wales, with the devolved Welsh Government the latest benefactors.   Involved from the earliest stages of any project always affords both ourselves and the client clear advantages, principally because it allows us to thoroughly engage with the client, understand and interpret their aspirations.   From this, the corresponding design and specification is more readily in line with the client’s expectations and budget.  “Our” project becomes theirs, which is all the more rewarding when the project is ultimately installed and handed over.

The Welsh Government also benefited from our ability to deliver every single aspect of this multi-area project in-house, with only the likes of the bespoke servery counter design and installation sub-let out to our own supply chain, who still operate under the authority of our appointed project manager.   All of the fabrication including bespoke ventilation canopies were manufactured by our Airedale Manufacturing divisions; minor building works were carried out by our Building Services division whilst the overall project was designed and installed by our Airedale Catering Equipment and Airedale Technical Care divisions.  A real team effort!

At the heart of this project is a brand new staff café, which will serve both breakfasts and lunches throughout the working week.   We also designed a new “flexi-serve” hospitality area, whereby the operators can reconfigure the servery areas to fit any particular event they are running.    The final area of our scope of works is a walk-in storage area complete with wine cooler for the use in the hospitality areas.
