We were honoured to have been given the opportunity to work on this prestigious project and for this being recognised by us securing the Large Project of The Year at our industry’s annual Ceda Grand Prix Awards. It not only illustrates our tireless commitment to understanding the particular nuances of any scheme but also how we become and integral part of the project team, forming fresh partnerships with the client and lead design consultant that continues to this day. We understand that this is “your” project not ours, we have the responsibility and pleasure to turn those aspirations into reality.
1 Angel Row also showcases our manufacturing expertise, with the integrated ventilation system illustrated being designed and manufactured at our own West Yorkshire factory by our Airedale Ventilation Services division. This significantly reduced the carbon footprint of our facilities, which in turn contributed to the whole building securing its unique BREEAM rating. Understanding the flow of the front-of-house operation is an essential element to the success of this project as queues at peak times are kept to a minimum. As a result, the Co-Op has reported an increase in its head-quartered staff eating their meals within these facilities compared to their original premises.
