Airedale’s reputation within Garden Centres continues to blossom after successful GCA Conference!
For the fourth year in a row our principle commercial catering design and project installation division Airedale Catering Equipment attended the annual Garden Centre Association (GCA) Conference. This year the Conference was held within the magnificent grounds of Luton Ho Spa and Hotel, all in support of the superb Greenfingers Charity.
The Garden Centre sector is one in which our reputation is flourishing, having completed a couple of full turnkey projects for independent Garden Centres as well as our on-going relationship with one of the largest nationwide chains. The four day event encompasses a mix of business related Conference speakers, networking and the (in)famous Associates Dinner, which is fancy dress and had an “Out of Africa” theme this year. Naturally not one to ever pass on an opportunity to network and engage with existing and potential clients, our two dedicated GCA Account Managers Kevin and Phil were magically transformed into a Zebra and Giraffe respectively!
Guest speakers were of a very high calibre this year, with Kevin Pietersen and Clive Woodward in particular offering an invigorating chat and speech to the packed out Conference. Clive focused primarily on how he transformed what was at the time the fifth ranking national Rugby team into what ultimately became World Cup winners in 2003.
Our “Guess the Amount of Cutlery” competition, with the winner securing a £150 e-voucher to spend on our brand new e-com’ site Airedale Essential Solutions, was a particular draw to our stand during the Associate’s Exhibition, whilst there was also lots of enthusiasm for our VR Goggles and exclusive offers.
