Commercial Director appointed

Initially Rob will be conducting an in depth review of our Group activities followed by implementing changes to systems and procedures to provide a strong base platform for future developments

Rob gained both a BSc from Loughborough University and a degree in Law from Leicester University – after qualifying he spent time travelling the world, settling in Australia where he practiced law for 4 years. He returned to the UK in 2003 and has continued to develop his legal and commercial skills within industry including heading a worldwide Dot com start up; returning a loss making PLC to profit; aggressive expansion of a retail chain; Troubleshooting and commercial consultancy.

Rob’s abilities and experience will undoubtedly augment our existing strengths and the Board are confident that this appointment will be a catalyst for continued growth and future acquisitions.

New Business Development Manager

With approaching 30 years experience in the industry with both distributors and manufacturers we are especially pleased to welcome Tony Donaghy to the team as Business Development Manager. He has undoubted knowledge of all market sectors and his in-depth understanding of equipment specifications will be of great value

It runs in the family

Our Financial Director, Ian Rowbotham has recently completed the Great North Run dressed as a Spartan (well why wouldn't you?)- knocking 5 minutes off his time for the previous year and beating his son, running as Wolverine, by 2 minutes!

What's more Ian was running in support of Epilepsy Research UK and has raised valuable funds for their work

Now departing Manchester Airport…

We have been extremely busy in our Airport work recently and have completed four outlets at Manchester Airport for SSP Air – a major Real Food Company outlet, a SOHO Coffee unit and contemporary Observatory Bar all in the redeveloped Terminal 2. We have also installed a larger SOHO Coffee with production kitchen in Terminal 1.

Run DNC!

Airedale Catering have just completed four projects across the UK for DNC - Delaware North Companies who are possibly best known as the caterers for Wembley Stadium and Arsenal F.C's Emirates Stadium and have taken their first steps in the UK into the transport sector, with Cafe Cucina a new cafe/restaurant offer at Euston Station, as well as three Airport restaurants in Gatwick North Terminal, Heathrow Terminal 4 and Edinburgh Airport.

The Edinburgh project is unique - being the first airport site to use the Woodstone Open Hearth Oven, which has been incorporated as a centrepiece to the restaurant and enclosed in a feature mosic tiled column.

It’s a hat trick!!!

It's another great achievement - at the catering equipment industry’s annual conference recently, Airedale Catering were awarded for the Best Large Project in the Cost Sector for the installation at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor.

We are proud to have won awards for the last three years running – as well as being finalists in other categories each year. We compete with all the major kitchen specialists in the UK, so to have won so consistently in the face of stiff competition from our peers.
